This counter-service hummus bar lies in the sclerotic heart of Soho. It's semi-fast-food: there's seating for about twenty people, but with counter service, and takeaways are available and popular.
Food
The main dish is a torus of fresh hummus in a bowl, with a "topping" of some sort (veg, meat, mushrooms - they have seven altogether) in the middle and two small hot pitta breads. There are extras and puddings; I had the mixed pickles, which included three pigs of garlic (two of which were amusingly cyan). Expect to pay somewhere around UKP5-UKP7 for food and drink.
Key thing to bear in mind: the hummus is FRESH. Those of you who've heard me rant about supermarket hummus and tarama will know that I am excessively sensitive to the age of this sort of food, and the hummus I had was definitely less than twelve hours old. Excellent!
Busyness
Fairly full at lunchtime on a Friday; apparently it empties out a bit late at night.
